The Program
4-17 MONTHS
PCBC Day School believes the parents are the experts of their own child. After all, we want to encourage parents in their role as their child’s first and most important teacher. Our Infant and Young Toddler teachers work closely with each child’s parents to provide individualized care. Teachers read to, talk, and sing with each child, all while they go about their daily routines of changing diapers and feedings. Children’s needs are quickly met to further strengthen the bonds of trust and encourage healthy brain and body development.
Parents have up-to-date information on activities, rest periods and feedings. In the infant room, teachers will begin tracking the progress of a child’s growth and different developmental stages. Teachers observe behaviors such as sitting up and rolling over and will happily communicate these wonderful milestones with parents. Valuing communication, we have important points of contact, such as one-on-one Parent/Teacher conferences and the daily drop-off and pick-up time where expectations for a child’s growth and development can be shared. We are honored to enter this exciting and special relationship with our parents.
The Bible is first introduced as God’s special book for infants and toddlers to explore because we believe 2 Timothy 3:15, “From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” It is our greatest joy to pray over your baby and share God’s love with hands-on, gentle, and loving care.
