We want to introduce God's plan for the children, encouraging His values and character into their lives. (Jeremiah 29:11; John 3:16; 13:34)
We value Christ as our focus by striving to ensure that He is always the center of everything we do and teach. (Matthew 6:33)
We value the uniqueness of each child and encourage hands-on exploration, creativity, and innovation using developmentally-appropriate curriculum. (Psalm 78:1-4; Psalm 127:3; Exodus 35:31-32, 35; Romans 12:6)
We value formative discipline as a means for guiding and teaching that will build up a child's self-worth, confidence, self-discipline, and self-control. (Psalm 25:4-7; Proverbs 22:6)
We value the health and safety of every child and strive to provide a loving and safe environment. (Isaiah 54:13; Psalm 55:22; Psalm 91:4)
We value a child's family as the most important part of their lives and parents as our partners in teaching. (Mark 10:9; Proverbs 17:6; Exodus 20:12; Psalm 127:3-5)
We value on-going communication with the parents about their child's experience at school. Each child is treated with discretion and confidentiality.

PCBC Day School is a ministry of Park Cities Baptist Church that provides personalized early childhood education and care for the community of Dallas and surrounding areas through a stimulating, loving Christian environment and a curriculum of active learning that nurtures the growth of the whole child.
It is our purpose to prepare each child for the next level of learning and growing cognitively, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
We believe that children are a gift of the Lord and that we have been given the great responsibility and privilege to help them grow and learn through the stages of their young life. We believe that, through play and guided learning, children can develop all the skills they need for school and life. Childhood is a time for fun, exploration, and self-discovery. PCBC Day School offers an environment that encourages the love of learning, independence, and provides opportunities for our students to explore new ideas.
Because of this, we base our instruction on Christian beliefs and biblical principles. Each child is seen as a true gift from God and is treated as such (Psalm 127:3). Because each child is unique and has been given different gifts and abilities, we strive to discover each child’s strengths and talents. We then can design activities that will build on these strengths while, at the same time, encouraging development in areas of needed growth in the child. To learn more about our Beliefs, please visit the Park Cities Baptist Church website.
Our curriculum offers opportunities for learning in language arts, math, science, social studies, large and small motor development, social skills, fine arts, foreign language, and the Bible through a rich environment of play and exploration.
Concept development comes from experimenting with the environment and having time and space to practice repeating the concepts. The acquisition of concepts and skills is assisted by the teacher providing scaffolding opportunities that support generalization and integration of all the areas of learning. Through times of open exploration, children learn through self-teaching, but they also have guided-learning through individual, small-group and large-group teaching time.
PCBC Day School is committed to a successful home-school connection by establishing a relationship of mutual respect, cooperation, and individualized goal setting for each child. We strive to have effective and respectful communication from the administration and individual classroom teachers to ensure that our families are consistently updated on their child’s progress
