Preschool: Three's

The Program

3 Years

Children in our Preschool: Three’s program are offered a challenging curriculum, but one that is engaging and meets each child at their interest and skill level. Learning activities are planned that are appropriate for the expectations of a growing and busy 3-year-old. During this exciting year, parents see their energetic three-year-old bloom into a preschooler ready to explore their world and learn new things! This is the year we build the foundation for the kindergarten readiness program. In the Preschool: Three’s program, children will expand their skills in language development and emergent literacy, creative arts, mathematical thinking, science and technology, art concepts, physical development and health and social studies. The teachers incorporate project-based learning into their curriculum which allows for multiple learning domains to be used over a period. As children grow during this year, their social development blooms as they develop friendships and move further into the Associate Play stage and eventually into Cooperative Play stage. These are important stages of play that help develop a child’s social, cognitive, and physical development.  In the Preschool: Three’s program we begin to introduce the Learning Without Tears Curriculum, which lays foundational concepts for the Kindergarten Readiness program.

MUSIC & MOVEMENT

The Preschool and older classes will visit the music and movement classroom once a week. During music, the teacher will introduce new songs through singing and playing simple instruments.

SPANISH

All children in the Preschool: Two’s and older classes will meet with the Spanish teacher once a week and be introduced to the basic concepts and phrases of the Spanish language.

LIBRARY

Each week the children in the Preschool: Three’s and older classes have a chance to visit the church’s library. We emphasize the importance of literacy and books within our program and value the opportunity to have a weekly visit to the library.

The administration uses Brightwheel for school-wide communication and as an online payment portal for tuition and fee charges.
