Infants/Young Toddlers

4-17 Months

PCBC Day School believes the parents are the experts of their own child, so our Infant and Toddler teachers/caregivers work closely with each child’s parents to provide the most individualized care. The children in our care will be encouraged to develop in all areas of growth through planned and unplanned activities. To help develop each baby and toddler’s language, our teachers talk and sing with each baby, explaining what they are doing from simply changing a diaper to feeding them their bottle. The teachers encourage social development by allowing for times of play with friends in their class and taking walks around the campus to see the entire PCBC Day School community.

Preschool: Older Toddlers and Two’s

18 Months to 2 years

Energy, excitement, and movement: these are the qualities that define an older toddler and 2-year-old, and these are the qualities that are used in our program to power positive learning experiences. Our facility offers plenty of space to move and explore, toddlers are provided nurturing guidance to develop physical skills and master emerging milestones. Toddlers will experience a stimulating classroom environment that will usher them into the independent 2-year-old stage of learning.

Preschool: Three’s

3 Year Olds

Children in our Preschool: Three’s program are offered a challenging curriculum, but one that is engaging and meets each child at their interest and skill level. Learning activities are planned that are appropriate for the expectations of a growing and busy 3-year-old. During this exciting year, parents see their energic three-year-old bloom into a preschooler ready to explore their world and learn new things! This is the year we build the foundation for the kindergarten readiness program.

Kindergarten Readiness

4-5 Year Olds

The Kindergarten Readiness Program will be the solidifying foundation for the skills needed in kindergarten and the next level of learning. The entire focus for the Pre-K/TK year is to prepare the students for a successful Kindergarten year and beyond. Enrichment Classes

CHAPEL
All children in the Preschool and older classes will participate in a weekly Chapel time where they listen to Bible stories based on the Day School’s monthly Bible verse/story, sing songs, and do other activities that teach the Bible lessons in simple, age-appropriate, and relevant ways.
MUSIC & MOVEMENT

The Preschool and older classes will visit the music and movement classroom once a week. During music, the teacher will introduce new songs through singing and playing simple instruments.

All children in the Preschool: Two’s and older classes will meet with the Spanish teacher once a week and be introduced to the basic concepts and phrases of the Spanish language.

LIBRARY

Each week the children in the Preschool: Three’s and older classes have a chance to visit the church’s library. We emphasize the importance of literacy and books within our program and value the opportunity to have a weekly visit to the library.

Brightwheel is our online communication and payment portal. The Day School teachers use Brightwheel to post updates and pictures from the day, as well to message parents individually as needed. The administration uses Brightwheel for school-wide communication and as an online payment portal for tuition and fee charges.
